Terms of Service
These terms govern your access to and use of Signals. By using the service, you agree to be bound by them.
Signals (the “Service”) is operated by Envisioning (“Envisioning”, “we”, “us”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) form a binding agreement between you and Envisioning. If you are using Signals on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
1. The Service
Signals is a foresight research platform that orchestrates multiple third-party AI models (including those from OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, and others) to help teams discover, source, synthesize, and track signals of change. The Service provides tools for configuring research, generating and grounding signals, and producing reports and collections.
2. Accounts and access
- Account creation. Access to the authenticated Service requires an account, provisioned through our identity provider. You are responsible for safeguarding your credentials.
- Organization workspaces. Signals is sold per-organization. Editors and admins consume paid seats; viewers and guests are free. Your administrator manages workspace membership and roles.
- Eligibility. You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding contract.
3. Third-party AI models
- Independent providers. Signals routes prompts to third-party AI providers that we do not own, operate, or control.
- No editorial control. We do not edit, verify, or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any AI-generated content.
- Availability. Specific models may be temporarily unavailable, return incomplete or erroneous outputs, or be removed by their provider without notice.
- BYO-AI billing. Compute costs incurred against AI providers are billed to your own provider accounts where supported, or passed through at cost. See the pricing page for current details.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- use the Service for unlawful purposes, or to infringe the rights of others;
- submit data you are not authorized to share with third-party AI providers;
- attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or probe the Service outside a sanctioned security disclosure;
- use the Service to generate content that is deceptive, defamatory, or harmful to others.
5. Your content and outputs
- Your content.You retain ownership of the research questions, prompts, sources, and other materials you submit (“Customer Content”). You grant Envisioning a license to process Customer Content solely to operate and improve the Service for you.
- AI outputs. Subject to these Terms and any restrictions from upstream AI providers, you may use, export, and share AI-generated outputs produced through your use of the Service.
- Aggregated data. We may use de-identified, aggregated usage data to operate and improve the Service.
6. Fees and billing
- Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law.
- Compute costs incurred against third-party AI providers are billed separately under the BYO-AI model described on the pricing page.
- We may change pricing on renewal with reasonable notice.
7. Disclaimers
The Service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. AI-generated content is experimental, may contain errors, omissions, or biases, and should not be relied upon as factual, legal, financial, or professional advice.
8. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Envisioning’s aggregate liability arising out of or related to these Terms or the Service will not exceed the greater of (a) the fees paid by you to Envisioning in the twelve months preceding the claim, or (b) one hundred US dollars. Envisioning will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including damages arising from your use of, or reliance on, AI-generated content.
9. Termination
You may stop using the Service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms or if continued provision of the Service is impractical. On termination, your right to access the Service ends; data export windows are described in our documentation.
10. Changes
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Service or by email. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
11. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to Envisioning’s principal place of business, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes will be resolved in the competent courts at that location, unless mandatory consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
